Want Healthy Strong Beautiful Hair ?

Updated: Jun 8, 2020

Get the low down of Conditioning treatments & masks, we know people avoid them for many different reasons.

I hear you, you think it makes your hair limp and lifeless, no body, no lift, to soft, etc etc.

Well, what if i told you, it would make your hair stronger, it would grow a lot longer, and actually be more manageable. Listening now ?

We all want it, but just don't seem to understand what we must be doing wrong.

Well let's start off by talking about Pre & Post treatments.

First, you can get pre-treatments, this is when you just spray damp the hair without washing it first, and putting the pre-conditioning treatment through your lengths and ends before you wash your hair. This can stay on 20 mins or all night if you like. pre-treatments make a big difference, they tend to work from the inside out, building the bonds in the hair, giving it strength. If you leave it on over night, it may dry.

When its been on the amount of time you want, then you can rinse under the shower, then wash your hair and condition it as normal. Doing this regularly will be beneficial for all hair types, but is very good for processed coloured hair.

The other type of treatment, is when you wash your hair first, and in place of a normal conditioner, you apply the treatment, through the lengths and ends in the same way as a pre-treatment. Again, leave on for a while before rinsing it off. This does still treat the hair, but usually from the outside in.

Which ever you use, a pre-treatment or a post treatment, its important that a it doesn't go on to the scalp, this is what makes your hair limp, and you just don't seem to be able to do anything with it. The hair near your scalp, is pretty much new hair, and is in good condition, this is also due to the natural sebum from the scalp. The hair through the lengths and ends can be a lot dryer, thinner due to drying, straightening, curling, as well as maybe coloured and processed.

The hair needs the help of being stronger, so it doesn't get so thin it breaks, or dried out, keeping your hair thicker and fuller so you can redo colours, perms, straightening and everyday drying without the stress.

Only putting treatments through length and ends wont make you hair limp, but will make it stronger and grow longer.

If you do a treatment preferably twice a week, but at least once, you will notice the difference. Once you start to get the results, it can be very addictive. Something i have found myself, when my hair is in good condition, i find once i have styled my hair it stays in the style, keeps its shape and can last days, even up to a week before i need to wash it.

Clients now tell me , they get comments about their hair doing this, they love the fact their hair looks amazing, but have not compromised the body, bounce and lift they can achieve at the roots.
